Almost everybody has an awkward teenage phase of self-discovery and understanding life. Minnie (Bel Powley) is no exception. Taking place in the hippie 1970s San Fransisco, Minnie is raised by a single mother who openly does drugs in front of her daughters. The 15-year-old Minnie gets into a relationship with her mother’s boyfriend Monroe (Alexander Skarsgård) and becomes obsessed with him.
